Twenty one California Chamber of Commerce member companies were chosen in a recent Glassdoor survey as some of the best places to work.
The Glassdoor survey breaks down its lists using company size:
- 50 Best Places to Work (honoring employers with 1,000 or more employees) and
- 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work For (honoring employers with fewer than 1,000 employees).
Winners are ranked based on their overall rating achieved during the past year.
Glassdoor’s 50 Best Places to Work in 2016 list features winning employers across diverse industries, spanning technology, consulting, travel and tourism, retail, food services and more.

Methodology
Unlike any other workplace awards, the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards are based solely on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback, by completing a company review, about their job, work environment and employer over the past year.
Employees’ Choice Award winners for the 2016 Best Places to Work and Best Small & Medium Companies to Work For are determined using Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, taking into account the quantity, quality and consistency of Glassdoor-approved company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between November 3, 2014 and November 1, 2015. At a minimum, employers considered for the large list must have received at least 75 company reviews, and companies considered for the small & medium list must have received at least 25 company reviews, respectively, during the eligibility period.
