The California Chamber of Commerce announced a new initiative on International Women’s Day to promote women leaders and business owners across the state.
The newly-formed Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) is a subcommittee of the CalChamber Board of Directors.
The council is made up of influential women and men from across the state who work in different business sectors and industries.
CalChamber says the new council will work to boost the profile and work of California women business leaders. The WLC will also create relationships and connections between those leaders and elected officials, government employees, and key decision-makers in state government.
