The event will convene an audience of senior leaders from technology, venture capital, academia, policy, and government representatives.
As global competition intensifies and technological dependencies become more visible, Europe faces a defining challenge: how to strengthen its capacity to develop, scale, and deploy trusted technologies in mission-critical sectors.
To address this, EuroCham — the European business community in Silicon Valley — is launching a new Special Interest Group on European Tech Resilience. The initiative brings together European companies, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem leaders to explore practical pathways for Europe to build stronger technological capabilities while remaining open and globally engaged.
This inaugural event will take place at SAP Labs in San Francisco and will feature a keynote address by EU Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva (Startups, Research and Innovation), followed by a high-level panel discussion.
The discussion will explore how Europe can:
Strengthen its ability to scale technologies in areas such as AI, digital infrastructure, and industrial systems
Build resilient and competitive innovation ecosystems
Translate European innovation into global industrial leadership
Leverage international ecosystems, including Silicon Valley, in support of European technological development
