CalChamber President and CEO to Join CA Housing Summit

The California Department of Education (CDE) is launching a statewide effort to accelerate housing development by utilizing land owned by California’s local education agencies.

As part of the effort, the CDE will be hosting a housing summit on August 14th at 10:30 a.m. in Sacramento.  The summit will include comments from several California leaders, including CalChamber President and CEO Jennifer Barrera, as they discuss ways to increase housing development and address the state’s housing affordability crisis.

Joining Barrera at the summit will be:

  • California Community Reinvestment Corporation CEO Tia Boatman Patterson;
  • California State Building Trades Council President Chris Hannan; and
  • California Building Industry Association Chairman Tom Grable.
