Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas (D-Salinas) reminds the crowd at the 2025 CalChamber Public Affairs Conference on October 29 that when government works with the business community in California, “We set the pace for the entire world.”

CalChamber’s Public Affairs Conference is one of California’s marquee events for following the latest happenings at the intersection of politics and public policy.

Organized by members of our Advocacy teams, the annual fall event offers a chance for business leaders to hear from political and policy strategists on not only the year in review but also what’s on the horizon. These sold-out events provide an insider’s look at the electoral and legislative climate in the Golden State.

Past conferences have included presentations by statewide officials, panel discussions with legislative leaders and – in even-numbered years – legislators newly elected as well as insight from political journalists and national pollsters.
