Campaigns
CalChamber plays an active role in California political campaigns by sharing with voters a pro-business, pro-economy message.
Candidates
Through its political action program, CalChamber has a strong track record in getting pro-jobs candidates elected to the California Legislature.
We carefully research candidates and their political platforms, offering up that information to our members so they can make informed choices about which candidates will have a positive impact on California’s jobs climate.
Ballot Measures
When the legislative process fails, politically active groups often turn to the ballot initiative process to take proposals directly to California voters.
CalChamber has been extremely successful in its support and opposition of ballot measures through the years, thanks to the support of the broader employer community. Our organization has backed initiatives to streamline the building of essential projects, to enact tax relief and tort reform, and to make politicians more accountable to voters. We have successfully challenged split roll property tax proposals and defeated security litigation.
CalChamber will continue to lead efforts to fight anti-business proposals, including those that threaten to increase taxes, health care expenses, and frivolous lawsuits.
