CalChamber’s 2025 Employment Law Updates In-Person, Virtual Seminars

Register now for CalChamber’s popular 2025 Employment Law Updates seminars! This year, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed or vetoed more than 1,200 bills, including many employment-related bills, so employers must prepare for the employment law changes ahead. Every year, these highly anticipated events sell out so be sure to grab your seat.

CalChamber’s half-day Employment Law Updates seminars provide expert analysis, clear explanations of compliance obligations and a comprehensive review and discussion of recent state and federal laws and regulations, including:

  • Changes to recruiting and hiring including protections for independent contractors;
  • Minimum wage updates;
  • Leave of absence expansions, including crime victims’ leave and paid family leave wage replacement benefits;
  • Limitations on employer political or religious speech; and
  • Recap on mid-year changes, such as PAGA reform, and workplace violence prevention and indoor heat illness prevention requirements.

Our employment law experts will also cover relevant 2024 court cases that affect all employers, cases on the horizon to monitor, poster and pamphlet changes, and best practices.

Join our employment law experts either in person or virtually. In-person seminars are conversational, and the interactive format allows questions throughout the seminar. Attendees will receive copies of seminar slides as well as supplemental materials on important cases and new laws. The two in-person events are held in:

  • Long Beach from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025; and
  • Sacramento from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on January 16, 2025.

Attendees for our virtual 2025 Employment Law Updates seminars will also receive downloadable seminar slides and the same supplemental materials. Participants can submit questions via Zoom during the seminar. Our five virtual seminars will be held on:
