As vice president and general manager of the California region of Burns & McDonnell Engineering Co. Inc., Rashmi Menon leads diverse teams to deliver innovative solutions for clients in the aviation, environmental, energy, industrial, municipal and technology consulting markets. She spearheads a team of more than 350 professionals in California designing and building the critical infrastructure that serves as a backbone and the lifeblood of hundreds of communities. A champion for women in STEM, Menon is deeply ingrained in industry and community organizations and initiatives.
With a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a master’s degree in construction management, Menon has more than 25 years of experience specifically in large scale programs for customers in the public and municipal markets. Prior to her current role with Burns & McDonnell Engineering, Menon previously served in a senior executive position at a global engineering firm, leading multiple teams across North America and delivering large capital improvement airport programs.
Menon strives to inspire and support the next generation of female leaders. She supports organizations including:
- California Chamber of Commerce, where she is a board member;
- Valley Industry & Commerce Association, where she was a past vice chair and is an executive board member; and
- LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce, where she was a past-executive board member and is a membership co-chair.
Menon lives in Orange County, California with her husband Siddarth and daughter Nora.
