2026 West Coast Summit: Missions,Machines, & Mutual Trust in the AI Age
October 14, 2026 · 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM
The U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University cordially invite you to the 2026 USIBC West Coast Summit on the theme Missions, Machines & Mutual Trust in the AI Age.
The U.S. and India stand at a redefined inflection as unstable geopolitics, shifting commercial relationships, and disrupting technology transformation alter the two nations’ strategic partnership. At the edge of this event horizon, the Hoover Institution and USIBC will convene leading voices from technology leaders, academia, and government to address the nexus of trust, technology, and society change.
The summit offers a timely opportunity to recenter the U.S.-India relationship around shared technological ambition and democratic values. From semiconductor supply chains to frontier AI governance, the program reflects a mutual recognition that trust — not just trade — is the true currency of a durable partnership. Central to this convening is the advancement of the Technology, Resilience, and U.S.-India Strategic Ties (TRUST Initiative), and Pax Silica, frameworks designed to translate high-level diplomatic commitments into concrete, actionable collaboration between American and Indian industry, innovators, and institutions.
Following the Summit, USIBC will host a lunch, a masterclass on U.S.-India Innovation Bridges, narrated tours of the Hoover Institution’s library and archives, Narrated Tours of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and a networking reception. Please see the RSVP link for more details on each session.
The registration deadline for the SLAC tour is Friday, October 2.
