“The escalating tensions in Los Angeles that have now led to a U.S. Senator from California being forcibly removed from a press conference and handcuffed need to stop.  Instead of further disruptions in Los Angeles and across the state, we need to address the underlying problem of immigration reform in the halls of government in Washington. The current situation is bad for our communities and bad for businesses. And there is broad consensus that those who have lived and worked here for years, without engaging in criminal behavior, should be given a pathway to legally continue to do so without fear. We can, and must, do better.”
