    We are thrilled to announce two esteemed guests who will speaking at our FDI Report Release Webinar. The program will begin with remarks from the Dean of David Nazarian College of Business and Economics at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Dr. Chandra Subramaniam. Following Dr. Subramaniam, the State of California’s Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis will provide the keynote address and discuss how FDI can play a role in statewide economic recovery. After the keynote, the Lieutenant Governor will sit down with WTCLA President Stephen Cheung for a one-on-one discussion.

    Speaker Biographies 

    Prior to his role at CSUN, Dr. Chandra Subramaniam, CPA, CMA, has served as the Interim Dean and Professor of Accounting, Associate Dean for Students and Programs, and Chair of the Department of Accounting, all at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Business. His non-academic career includes several years as an engineer for National Semiconductor in Malaysia and as the Director of the Small Business Development Center and Small Business Institute providing consulting services for North Eastern Minnesota.

    Ambassador Eleni Kounalakis was sworn in as the 50th Lieutenant Governor of California by Governor Gavin Newsom on January 7th, 2019. She is the first woman elected Lt. Governor of California. A native Californian, she visited each of the state’s 58 counties during her historic campaign. In addition to her duties as Lt. Governor, Kounalakis is California’s Representative for International Affairs and Trade, appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom by executive order.
