Congressional Support for Trade:
Freshman Trade Letter

On Thursday, June 27 a group of 35 freshman Republican Members of Congress, including CA Congressmen David Valadao of Bakersfield CD-21 and Doug LaMalfa of Oroville CD-1, sent a letter to new U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman pledging to work with the administration on a broad trade agenda: the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the Trade in Services Agreement (TISA) and Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). They are calling for the expansion of trade to increase economic growth and create jobs across the country.
