Veterans Reporting Deadline Approaching

The Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) prohibits covered federal contractors and subcontractors from discriminating against protected veterans and requires these employers to take affirmative action to recruit, hire, promote and retain these veterans. Covered federal contractors and subcontractors must meet annual reporting requirements.

The 2017 VETS-4212 filing deadline of September 30, 2017, is fast approaching.

Federal contractors and subcontractors must submit the VETS-4212 report on their affirmative action efforts for veterans. All nonexempt federal contractors and subcontractors with a contract or subcontract in the amount of $150,000 or more with any department or agency of the United States for the procurement of personal property or non-personal services must comply with the reporting requirement.

VETS-4212 is available for free on HRCalifornia and also on the Department of Labor website.
